Mountain Medical Technologies, Inc., developer of electronic health record software for the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) market, is announcing that the Black Canyon Surgical Center of Montrose, Colorado has gone paperless using Cyramed EHR. Cyramed was previously white-labeled to Source Medical as Source Plus EHR (SPEHR) with a tight interface to all of their practice management (PM) products. Cyramed now works with HSTPathways to deliver a high-end business management solution.

Black Canyon, formerly managed by Neuterra Healthcare, used SPEHR for years as a document management system only. They performed all charting on paper and then scanned paper documents into the EHR for storage.

As of February 2013, Black Canyon has approached a truly paperless environment by upgrading to Cyramed ASC for all of its charting needs. They discovered that they already possessed the most effective real time ASC clinical charting solution and were only using a fraction of the software’s capabilities. The transition to full use with minimal cost was championed by Black Canyon’s Director of Nursing, Pat Sales.
